In Kenting National Forest Recreation Area, over 1,200 species of plants adorn the vast woodlands, ranging from coconut trees to tropical fruit trees, allowing visitors to experience the essence of nature with every step. The 27-meter-high observation tower situated in the park serves as the best place for visitors to enjoy the magnificent views of southern Taiwan and the Pacific Ocean. From this vantage point, the expansive scenery allows for a 360-degree panorama of nature’s remarkable artistry. Overlooking the entire Kenting National Forest Recreation Area from the observation tower evokes a profound awe for this beautiful land.
Since the establishment of the Hengchun Tropical Botanical Garden by the Japanese in 1906, Kenting National Forest Recreation Area has undergone historical changes and was reorganized into its current form in 1978, blending elements of academic research with leisure.
